How do we model continuum systems?

My research focusses around the low-order modelling of multiphysics continuum systems. This includes analytics, asymptotics, numerics and direct numerical simulations.

In recent years I have taken a particular interest in systems involving:

Some of my recent investigations have been into thick flows. Contrary to standard practice, it is quite possible to produce accurate, low-order models for thick liquid layers Reduced models for thick liquid layers with inertia on highly curved substrates
